Spain´s National Association of University Programmes for Older Adults (Spanish acronym: AEPUM) has established itself as an association with university-oriented goals that has as its main aim to structure and promote university educational programmes and thus contribute to older adults’ training and cultural development.

In order to achieve those aims, the Association seeks to promote and develop dialogue and communication between Universities, Public Administrations and the private sector, and has therefore considered it essential to create an institutional web page that can become a meeting point for everyone interested in lifelong learning, providing transparent information and allowing effective collaboration between AEPUM members and honorary partners.

The availability of information on social development and educational policies as well as the access to it in the different countries is becoming increasingly obvious and has a clear reflection on the Internet. The new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are becoming more and more important in the European Union, which is why we see this web page as a useful instrument that will help to spread the use of those new technologies among older adults. In this way, many barriers and inequalities will be removed and older adults will be able to assume an active role in this technological development process.

Therefore, from this web page, we encourage you to take part in our work initiatives, reflections, proposals and debates in the hope of receiving the visits and contributions of all those who work for the consolidation of lifelong learning within the framework of the European Higher Education Space.

L´association Nationale de Programmes Universitaires pour Adultes, en abrégé AEPUM, est constituée, en Espagne, en association d´intéręt universitaire et elle a pour but essentiel de structurer et de fomenter les programmes éducatifs universitaires en contribuant au développement formatif et culturel de ce collectif d´adultes.

Pour atteindre les objectifs énoncés auparavant, l´Association a comme finalité l´essor et le développement du dialogue et de la communication entre les Universités, l´Administration Publique et les sociétés privées ; c´est pour cela que l´AEPUM a considéré indispensable l´existence d´un site Internet institutionnel qui puisse contribuer au rapprochement entre les différents collectifs intéressés par le développement de l´éducation tout au long de la vie et qui puisse permettre l´échange d´informations transparentes et la collaboration efficace entre les associés et les membres d´honneur de l´AEPUM.

La disponibilité et l´accčs ŕ l´information dans les différents états pour ce qui este du développement social et des politiques éducatives sont chaque fois plus évidents et leur effet sur Internet est incontestable. Les nouvelles technologies de l´information et de la communication (TIC) prennent chaque fois plus d´importance dans l´Union Européenne ; c´est pour cette raison que nous voulons, avec ce site Internet, fomenter entre les adultes l´usage des nouvelles technologies de l´information et de la communication en éliminant les barričres et les inégalités et en les faisant participer ŕ ce développement technologique.

Der staatliche Verein für universitäre Programme für Erwachsene, abgekürzt AEPUM, wurde in Spanien als Verein mit universitärem Interesse gegründet. Sein Ziel ist die Organisation und Förderung von Bildungsprogrammen auf universitärem Niveau in Spanien, sowie die Mitwirkung an verschiedenen Programmen zur Bildungs- und Kulturentwicklung von Erwachsenen.

Um diese Ziele zu erreichen, arbeitet der Verein an der Förderung und Entwicklung der Kommunikation zwischen Universitäten, staatlichen Behörde und privaten Einrichtungen. In diesem Zusammenhang war auch die Erstellung einer Webseite notwendig um den Zugang aller Altersgruppen zur Bildung zu vereinfachen. Weiterhin wollen wir damit auch einen einfachen Informationsaustausch und eine erfolgreiche Mitarbeit zwischen den Mitgliedern und Ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeitern von AEPUM ermöglichen.

Die Verfügbarkeit und der Zugang zu Informationen über die soziale Entwicklung und Bildungspolitik in allen Länder ist jederzeit offensichtlich und spiegelt sich im Internet wieder. Die neue Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien haben eine grosse Bedeutung innerhalb der EU gewonnen. Auf Grund dessen, möchten wir mit unserer Websseite die Anwendung dieser neuen Technologien unter den Erwachsenen fördern und dafür sorgen, dass ältere Menschen diese technologische Entwicklung nicht als Hindernis empfinden.
